Full Support/Quad Carts

Full Custom Support

Convert Rear Wheel to Quad

Convert Rear Wheel to Quad

Sometimes your pet needs support in both the front and rear legs.

This may be due to systemic conditions such as immune-mediated polyarthritis, generalized osteoarthritis, multiple orthopedic and/or neurological conditions, congenital conditions such as cerebellar hypoplasia, and many more possibilities.

We are here to help you decide what is best for your pet. Dr. Moe's rehab expertise and extensive knowledge about carts can help you decide what is best, and whether our design is also suited for your pet's needs.

Convert Rear Wheel to Quad

Our rear wheel carts can be converted to quad carts!

What are the signs that your pet may need more support than a rear wheel cart?

  • Effortful ambulation/walking in the front limbs, possibly leading to soreness in front limbs
  • Not able to stand in wheels for long, wants to lie down
  • Backing up (when previously was able to walk forward), or cannot learn to walk forward
  • Stumbling in front limbs, to even falling forward
  • Decreasing endurance/fatiguing faster

These signs may be happening due to a progressive condition, such as degenerative myelopathy or cancer. It may also be due to worsening of existing conditions, such as osteoarthritis worsened by weight shifted forward from other conditions such as arthritis, hind limb weakness or paralysis from intervertebral disc disease and other causes.

We can help you determine if your pet needs more support from additional abdominal support, adjusting wheel position/harnesses, or transitioning to a full support cart.

Lightweight

Limited Lifting

Limited Lifting

Our strong, yet lightweight aluminum frames make even an extra large quad cart lighter than you might think! We take materials into careful consideration to reduce weight, yet provide strength and stability for your pet's mobility needs. We get creative with the small carts and design, wheel choice, and harness types to make sure your pet's cart is not one more obstacle.

Larger pets can be hard to get in/out of full support carts. Some designs require them to be fully lifted and lowered into the frame. Our support saddles have handles on medium sizes and up to allow to you support your pet and clip them in from below the frame. This is also an advantage for pets who may be sensitive to handling/lifting.

Customizable

Let us know what you need! Sometimes deep chested dogs need different support than our standard saddles provide. We will work with you to determine whether we modify a product and make recommendations for that, or customize our handmade products to make sure your pet is comfortable and stable. We can customize the design of tiny and small carts based on individual need. Check out our gallery for pictures and video.
